Getting a JPG under a size limit
Upload forms that cap JPGs at 100 KB or 200 KB are common — job portals, exam applications and seller panels all do it. The fastest route under the limit is to reduce the pixel dimensions first: a photo displayed at 800 px wide gains nothing from being 4000 px, and scaling it down usually saves more than any quality change.
Only after resizing should you lean on the quality slider. Drop it in steps of 5% and watch the size readout — most photos cross under 100 KB somewhere between 50% and 70% quality without any visible damage.
